Scanning:
With the loss of our office space the end of 2016 our primary work flow is now film scanning. Even more specifically seems to be more Archival Aerial Film Scanning for mapping purposes. We now have even better value scanning costs that include the Dust & Scratch.
Our Wehrli two RM-5 and one RM-6 Scanners are equipped with Dust and Scratch removal, we have the Spot & Vignetting Software, the new faster scanning times and we are able to scan from 8 to 14 bit up to a resolution of 8um (3175dpi). This unit will allow us to scan images up to 10.75" x 12.5" for cut sheet or 10" x10" for rolls up to 500 foot in length. We will be able to provide scans of images at 3175 dpi (ppi) with the accuracy we have come to expect from Wehrli Scanners. We also have the Epson P20000 which allows us to provide a digital image and a photographic enlargement for about the cost of a traditional color enlargement produced directly from film.
Resolution: 8um or 3175dpi/ppi (actually able to scan as high as 4um utilizing newest software additions) Color Bit Settings: 8, 10, 12 & 14 Maximum Roll Length: 500 feet (4 mil at 9.5" width)
Wehrli RM5 & RM6 standard scanning settings and costs are:
9" x 9" Format Film INCLUDING Dust & Scratch Removal (only available on color film) Updated 6-21-10 Prices shown are for each scan (for costs not shown please drop us an e-mail or give us a call).
Minimum charge $60.00
For scanning with NO D&S setting subtract 25% of above COLOR scanning costs. This is only suggested for low res scans that are requested for checking coverage.
Dust & Scratch
See the following image for an idea of just what the D&S software can do! We have found incredible time savings with this feature when preparing files for enlargements.
With our Scanner Hardware updates we also purchased SOFTWARE UPDATES: After reviewing the following impressive test images we have also decided to purchased the newest software package from Wehrli & Assoc. This software package will allow us to make images look as if they were printed on a electronic dodging printer as you will see in the following images. We will be finalizing a costs for this based on the images provided but at the immediate time we will be charging $5/frame for a few images.
and
Over 300 scans please contact us. ** File size from a 9x9 image may not open in many imaging programs such as PhotoShop prior to CS Versions from full frame scans due to the over 30,000 pixels in both directions. Cropped areas are normally not an issue.
For other format sizes contact us for a price list. We are currently working on other format sizes for our clients that use 120/220, 70mm, 4x5, 5x7, 8x10 and so on.
