Digital Photographic Enlargements an Epson SureColor 20000P
We are able to provide photographic enlargements that are up to 64" in one direction on a very wide variety of materials including Glossy, Luster/Pearl, Matte, Canvas, Plastics, Textures, Vinyl, and a large variety of other materials. We only generally keep in stock a few materials that are often used but most materials can be obtained in a day or two for your specific needs.
Our cost for this service is still extremely low for the Luster/Pearl at only $0.095/sq. inch. (9.5¢) for the first print and $0.065/sq. inch (6.5¢) for each additional of the same. We have discounts for quantities over 20, 70, 300, 750, 1200 & 1500 each of the same frame as well. There may be a difference in cost for more costly materials so please ask if you have any questions.
The Ink-dye that we are using has an archival of a minimum 200 years for color and 400 years for B&W.

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR LAB DOES NOT CREATE ENLARGEMENTS FROM "NUDE" IMAGES EVEN WHEN IT IS TAKEN AS "ART".
We do have the Chromira 50 - 5X which is currently in storage for sale for a cost of $22,000. This unit and details about it can be seen with more photos at http://www.ebay.com/itm/322485486571 The unit is currently in climate controlled storage awaiting a new home along with several rolls of material.
Our lab added our first Chromira 50 the end of 2006 in order to provided added services to our clients from our full service lab. In January of 2009 we have upgraded our Chromira 50 to a 5x unit which will further enhance our quality and provide a faster turn around then we already provide. With this unit we can provide you high quality photographic enlargements from a digital file. Please be sure to let us know what DPI at final output your original file is. The preferred setting is 300ppi (dpi) at final size in order to provide the best quality. We have found the results are still acceptable at settings as low as 100ppi (dpi) but we still recommend that your files be at least 200ppi (dpi).

For determining cost please round up to the next full inch when estimating cost. For example if your image is 42.5 inches by 44.75 inches use the cost for a 43 x 45 inch enlargement which is a total of 1935 sq in or see the form below. Special costs can be provided for large quantities. The minimum order will be $50 rather then the $75 for the traditional enlargements from color or B&W negatives. For this printer the accepted file formats are tiff, jpg & bmp. With our equipment we can print any size small or large. For images that are over 50" in both directions we would need to provide the final in two pieces that can be taped on the backside. When figuring the cost for these determine the best location for the splice area and add one each to each "half" plus $30 to cut it as one. Please also keep in mind that the shipping will greatly increase for extremely large finals. A very large final will likely be sent in a PVC pipe as a tube.
For a price comparison, if you have been paying for your enlargements by the square foot if you ordered a 12"x12" (1 sq. ft.) it would cost $13.68 for the first and $9.36 for each additional copy of the same.
To date the largest "single" photo produce was to hang in a government front lobby and was a final size of about 100" x 138" which had to be made in 3 sections 100" long and then mounted on 3/4" Black GatorBoard (which is why it required 3 sections rather then two). We were incredibly please to find that the final product registered perfectly from one image to the next and from the top to the bottom. |
