Parenting & Adoption!
This is one of the truly most rewarding
mission projects that we have ever done. Please look at the link for
children that are in need of the love you can give them. The child

The Department of Children and Families is a good place to help
children in need. As a foster parent you too can make a difference in
a child's life. They are in desperate need of homes for multiple
siblings! Please contact them and HELP!
Below are some typical questions we are asked.
How
do you become Foster Parents?
You
will need to contact your local Department of Children and Families
office for all of the current details. Typically you take a 10 week
program, and accomplish the needed background information,
fingerprinting, additional specific requirements for the type of care
you are most interested in, then a health inspection of your home.
Isn’t
that a lot of work?
Yes,
it is and you will not get rich but, you may break even. All I can
tell you is when you see the difference you can make in a child's life
your are richly blessed. One thing that we have found very important
is to make sure they are given items to clean up. Just like you and me
you feel much better when you are clean. Many children do not have
anything and a nice bath (or shower) and clean clothes will make them
feel great.
Do
you have a bunch of problems?
We
have had a large number of children in our home. We have had children
from just born to 16 years old. We have not had any mentionable
problems, even with typically "problem children". You will
find when a child is treated with love and stability they will give it
back to you.
What
happened to ______ that they are in your home?
The
answer you will get is "we are not at liberty to discuss
this". Even when a child may be "adoptable" you are not
to discuss the situation. Imagine for a moment if you were the child,
would you want all of the people around you to know what happened? By
the way LEGALLY you can not share the information as well.
