Oeceoclades maculata

This is a native Florida terrestrial orchid. What a beauty this one is. The flowers are fairly small (one above taken with a loop on a digital camera in macro) but the flower is wonderful. The plant is very interesting too. The best description is that the plant looks similar to a Butterfly Oncidium (Psychopsis) with round bulbs. This one is in a mixture of bark, potting soil and course play sand. It is loving it and spiked with the first new growth.

The care for these orchids are like Terrestrials.
